Weekly Weed: Modern Olympic Superstars

Since we recently finished up the Summer Olympics in London, I thought I'd showcase this book of Modern Olympic Superstars! This book has a copyright date of 1979. Boy, is that modern! The cover photo is of Nelli Kim, a Russian gymnast who earned the second "10" in the 1976 Olympics. That was the same year Nadia Comaneci received the first "10" score in an Olympics. The only other person I had heard of that is listed in this book was Bruce Jenner. Now, he is more famous for his connections with the Kardashian family than for his Olympic gold medal in the decathalon. The last checkout date for this book was in 1987. I hope someone might find this book useful as I will be giving it away!

Weekly Weed: Poems for the Children's Hour

This poor, old book, titled Poems for the Children's Hour has a copyright date of 1957! As far as I can tell, the book hasn't been checked out in years. It is too torn up on the outside to be decorative, so does anyone have any ideas on how to use it? The pages might make an interesting wallpaper...
